Oracle is now charging $2.50 per user per month for Java updates for non-personal use.

So we are no longer offering Oracle's Java builds as our 'Java' apps.

Luckily there are some great alternative Java builds created from the same source code. We offer two of those options (Amazon Corretto and AdoptOpenJDK) and we encourage you to test and migrate to them. We have versions compatible with both Java 8 and 11 and we're trying to make our automation for them as close to a drop-in replacement as possible.

If you require the Oracle build for some reason you'll need to review the license agreement carefully and decide whether you need to purchase a Java SE Subscription. For Ninite Pro users who are in compliance with Oracle's new license we have 32 and 64-bit 'Java (Oracle) 8' apps which should work through December 2020.

For most users we believe switching to an alternative OpenJDK build is the cheapest, safest, and best option.
